Good 'ol kiwi humour

The uni week has come to an end, yay! This weekend will be spent doing assignments no doubt, though on Saturday night the All Blacks are playing Australia so I'll defs be watching that. Because the world cup is here soon, the All Blacks have been doing lots of advertising to hype up the country. So I was searching on YouTube and found this 'Room Raiders' clip, done by Piri Weepu and showcasing one of my favourites, Cory Jane (both of whom I met earlier this year).

It's hilarious. I absolutely love the kiwi humour in it and how totally normal and crack up they are.

Girl crush

Herro. Uni was pretty cool today, as it was short and relatively painfree. I'm healing up which is a relief and Ooooooooooh ooooh the flatties, some classmates and I are heading to Harry Potter 7.2 tonight! Uber excited! For one of my friends who is coming with us, it'll be her 3rd time seeing it. Yep, she's a HP nut.

But anyways....Zooey Deschanel is my girl crush. She is beautiful, talented and stylish. I love her effortless vintage syle and ever-present cuteness. Oh, and she's in a band too! How cool. I also love how she stays out of the limelight and how I've never heard any gossip about her.
Bet she's awesome to go antiquing/op-shopping with :)

Winter ills

I am sick. Grr. I absolutely hate being sick, it's just awful. Feeling all stuffed up, constantly sneezing and coughing  and being hot then cold then hot again...and losing the voice. It is not fun.
But, despite feeling yuk, I had a great day today consisting of lunch and shopping with a friend I haven't seen in quite some time.

Am feeling the need for some cuteness to put me in a good mood so here we go:

Well waddya know..!

Uni again today. Learnt about the manufactured elements of 'realism' in television crime dramas and the German Blitzkrieg. Not much else to say today other than that it was again cold, though sunny and bright at particular moments in the arvo. And I'm super excited for my favourite flattie to return to us tomorrow! She's coming back from a family holiday on the Gold Coast so will find the cold quite a change I believe.
A while ago I stumbled upon a website which posts one random fact every day in a cute, bright coloured picture. Today I will share some that I found particularly fascinating :)

Old school love

Wow. Today was intensely cold. Down south there has been blankets of snow falling and though we didn't get any where I live, we certainly felt the chill in the air. I did notice we had hail at one point but missed out on the snow. Apparently the Napier-Taupo road was covered in snow. How cool! It's funny how snow in NZ is such a novelty. It's like some magical, once in a blue moon thing. The cold weather is not so fun, however, when one is at uni, as it makes walking to and from class rather unappealing. Hence why one stays in the library for most of the day. I found some cool pics today of some legends that we should all have heard of. They are so vintage. I love.

Bed envy

I love bed. It's just lovely. I got a queen bed this year and am absolutely loving it. It's super comfy and spacious. Though I love my bed to pieces, I had bed envy (benvy?) when I saw these awesome bed pics...!
So cool!

Ok so the second to last one is more of a tent but is still just gorgeous. I wonder if I will dream of these tonight...hahaha irony.
